Lux Express is starting commercial passenger transportation on the route from Riga — Liepaja and a day later Liepaja — Riga — Daugavpils. All trips on the routes are operated by Irizar i6s Efficient manufactured in 2023.

From 1st of February on bus routes 10, 12, 18, 20, 28, 29, 33, 34, 38, 39, 43, 47, 54, 57, 60 and 63 – the procedure that requires passengers to board the public transportation vehicle only through the front doors and disembark through the middle and rear doors is renewed.

The Road Transport Administration has entered into a contract with SIA “VTU Valmiera” regarding the provision of passenger transport in the part of the route network Valmiera, Valka, Smiltene. The Agreement shall enter into force on 1 July 2024.

The company Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme has been declared as insolvent. From September 12, minibus routes 303 and 363 are served by Rīgas Satiksme.
